Good Start to a New Series by Chelsea Camaron

Maverick by Chelsea Camaron is a quick read at only 71 pages. Kenzy and Maverick have just reconnected, but Kenzy is a changed girl and she isn't that awkward girl that Maverick remembers from school. Maverick is a roughneck with no intention of settling down his wild ways, but there's a softer side to be found with him. That side is all about family and taking care of his dad and making sure is dad is okay.
For me, I felt a lot of time was spent on describing the disease, the effects of the disease, and ultimately dealing with the disease. I don't know if it's just me, but the fact that the timeline spanned a year and there were huge chunks of time between chapters lost me just a bit. But, I really enjoy Chelsea Camaron's style of writing, and her characters come to life on the page.
Kenzy and Maverick cross paths a few times and you can see the sexual tension building, but is she just one more conquest or is she the one? How does Maverick deal with the new normal that his life becomes? And is Kenzy the woman he needs or just the woman he wants? Check out Maverick for these answers and more.
Maverick and Kenzy are combustible when they are together, even his dad can see that. Maverick's dad can also dole out some sage advice. I really liked his 'talks' with Maverick basically telling him to get his head out of his ***.
Maverick is a complete story, and the beginning of a new series. Look for additional books to come out surrounding secondary characters of the storyline.

Great Start to a New Series

This was my first book by Chelsea Camaron, but it definitely won't be the last. Maverick was a quick, enjoyable read.
Maverick begins with MaKenzy (Kenzy) moving back to her hometown after ending things with her longterm boyfriend. She is determined to start over, and adjust to life newly single. With an apartment and job lined up, she is well on her way to start the next chapter in her life. The last thing she needs or wants at this point is to open her heart up to another man.
Maverick is a man who works hard, and plays harder. He's with a different woman every night, and has earned the nickname "Tapper" as a result. He's not ashamed of how he is, and makes no apologies for how he lives his life. However, a health scare with his father makes him realize that nothing in life should be taken for granted.
When Kenzy and Maverick begin spending time together as she helps him take care of his father, he knows that he wants her in his life. But Kenzy is aware of Maverick's past, and can't deal with the possibility of opening herself up, only to be hurt again. Can Maverick convince her that he now knows what's important in life, and to give him a chance?
Maverick is a great start to a new series. It doesn't end in a cliffhanger; the next books are about secondary characters from this book. Highly recommend.

Another sweet and romantic family drama from Chelsea Camaron

An ICU nurse takes a personal interest in a patient's recovery changing both of their lives forever.
I first read this novella when it was published in an anthology last year and it was such a sweet and down to earth story, with some very heart-tugging and tender moments.
A woman meets the man of her dreams in an unlikely place and through a life changing experience for both of them, finds the family and love she is missing in her life.
Maverick is a beautiful romance with some serious real-life situation elements that is typical with this author's very loving, family centered books.
If you loved Chelsea Camaron's Love and Repair series, you will love this sentimental and emotional short as well!
